Here to share my own little adventures in day to day life. I’m married to a USAF Firefighter, have a new baby girl, & live overseas in the UK. For now I'm going to enjoy this 3rd and last year living in England with my beautiful family & we'll see where the world takes us!

Slight Change...
So looks like Jonny will actually be out of the alarm room and back on the floor within the next couple of weeks rather than August. What started out as a really good day of mountain biking through the forest turned into an ER visit for one of the firefighters.... He tried to take a jump, face planted and shattered his collar bone! Luckily he was with a handful of firefighters who use their EMT skills to rig a sling with shoe laces and belts to stabilize his arm. He's doing well now, just on pain meds, and will probably need some type of surgery. So now he will have a LONG rotation in the alarm room, and as soon as he's trained up, Jonny will take his place on the trucks! Then this evening I went to take Brady some shoes of his that for some reason were living at our house, worked out, and grabbed dinner for Jonny, (he ALWAYS runs out of food before dinner time, no matter how much he takes!) We were eating some Popeyes in the alarm room when he received a call for a car fire right outside the gate. It was a little funny because nobody knew what they were supposed to do or what the proper protocol was, since we don't have jurisdiction off base. However, the Suffolk Fire Brigade wanted our guys to respond, so everyone kept calling and saying "Ok so we're going off base?" I drove by all the trucks on the way home and I bet those drivers were nervous with those big things on these curvy British roads!
