Well today was officially the big kick off for our holiday season! Not only did I manage to get our Christmas tree put together, but our squadrons annual Thanksgiving Lunch took place at the fire department this afternoon. Each shop was in charge of a certain thanksgiving food puzzle piece and today we got to eat it all. Luckily, the station was responsible for desserts which gave me ample opportunity to whip together my favorite Autumn Sweets. I like to kick up the traditional pumpkin pie to a pumpkin cheesecake dish topped with chocolate sprinkles or lightly drizzled chocolate sauce, and something I found that was quick, easy and super tasty for our monthly Bunko get-togethers is a Pumpkin Fluff Dip. Great with cinnamon Graham Crackers or various fruits. Both recipes are very festive, quick, and you'll always wish you had left overs...in fact, I kept one of the four cheesecakes I made for today home in the fridge =) Our commissary runs out of canned pumpkin quite often so I need to take what I can get! Below is a link to the recipes, give one or both a try and let me know how you like it!
